Happy Sunday!
It is such an amazingly beautiful day outside. I wish you were all here. We could sit outside and chat about anything and everything, and have a great time. Then we would BarBQ, and for those that wanted to stay, we could watch the Academy Awards tonight. Ah, a great day!

Two Shoes Tuesday
Josie of Two Shoes in Texas does a weekly meme called Two Shoes Tuesday.
Here's her simple rules:
There will be TWO word prompts each week... you can use whichever one inspires you! You are not required to include them both. You do not have to include the word in your post, but please use it as your theme. You are welcome to write a post for each prompt word, if you like. Posts unrelated to either word prompt will be deleted from the Mr. Linky list. The two word prompts this week are Change and/or Season.
Hubby and I have had so much change in the past few years that it scares me, wondering what's next. We started in southern CA where we both had good jobs making fairly good money. We had a great life. Then his job transferred us first to Vegas, then Phoenix, then Tucson, and back to Phoenix all within a 5 year period. Crazy!
Next stop was Atlanta to be near one of the kids. I no longer worked, was told I was in stage 4 liver disease and had 2 months or less to live. Had a transplant with lifelong complications. Hubby had an ok job. $10 an hour would not have worked in CA but is good for Atlanta. That job transferred us here- to a tiny town in Arkansas. Right after we moved here- they closed. We had no money to move back and there is no place to work here unless you farm. Hubby was a white collar worker, not a farmer. The government pays me a tiny salary and hubby now works as a cashier at the local store making a quarter above minimum wage. We don't live, we exist.
I am not complaining, we are happy. But change- Please no more change for us unless it's for the better. Neither of us can take much more change.

Just another day....
Hubby was off yesterday, but he felt bad and was cranky all day. I just let him rest and did my own thing. Thank God for a new day, a new beginning.
This morning he went to work in a good mood. Plus the gloomy rain makes things just that- gloomy. But I am busy planning our move. Our apartment complex is completely remodeling each apt. They started the 1st four about three weeks ago. Our new apt will be in the second set. Everything will be new, plus- we get our own washer /dryer. Yea!!! No more trips to the laundry room. Now if they would just give us a dishwasher, I'd be a happy happy girl.
Our move should be in September.
Everyone have a great Hump Day!

Then I am constructing a brand new top out of my exes leftovers.
Resting and reading...
While the grill gets hot and the drinks chill...
This evenin' I have the Love doctor on call....
Cause my honey Blake is coming by while hubby is working...

Good, Bad and In-Between
Hubby was off today. We had to go pay a bill, get my labs done, and while on the way home, our car started making these really jerky movements. We finally got home, and our friend who thinks he knows about cars couldn't find anything wrong with it. lol So it went to the shop this afternoon. It needs a power control module. (Total to fix $approx. 350.00) UGH!!!! Just can't ever seem to get ahead. So anyway it will be in the shop for a few days. Stuck at home.
It started out being a beautiful day-
Beautiful sites like this we see every day. Everything is growing and looking beautiful. We live in the middle of farmland.

Now, it's raining. We need it so bad. Seems to miss us a lot, but not this time. I'll get reading done tonight, as every time it rains here, our DISH goes out. So no tv.
Have an amazing evening! Be safe.

Foodie Questions
1. Do you make grocery lists? I have always made a grocery list, but always bought whatever else I wanted. Now that I am changing the way I eat, I stick to the list. The only difference I make is if its a in the produce or fruit area. Sometimes I buy extras there.
2. Do you have a routine when shopping in your favorite grocery store? OK, being OCD for the most part, lol, I follow the rows of the store, and make my grocery list by those lines.
3. What is your favorite seasoning? Depends on what it is. But I am loving Mrs. Dash right now.
4. What is the healthiest food in your fridge right now? Veggies and yogurt.
5. What is the most unhealthy food in your fridge now? ice cream, but it is hubby's and we buy a flavor I don't like. So I won't be tempted.
6. What is the most exotic produce you’ve ever had? Exotic to me is papaya, and maybe avocados. Not too into things I don't even know how to eat.
7. Tell us about your favorite local restaurant. The O&H grill. They have the best and biggest salads I've ever eaten. I order a half salad. A whole salad is like family size.
8. What kind of pasta do you prefer (regular, whole wheat, etc.?) When I eat pasta, I like angel hair spaghetti. I have a great salad recipe using it.
9. If you could make one food calorie-free for an entire week, which food would you choose? Peanut butter. I've been craving peanut butter.
10. If you had to choose would you rather give up french fries or chocolate? Chocolate.
Now it’s your turn to answer the questions! And also be sure to go back to Kenlie's blog and leave a link to your FMM post in the comments! I really encourage you to comment on as many people's posts as you can - I've met some fantastic people through FMM. You never know who you'll meet today.

Back ache
Hubby and I put up corn for the freezer all afternoon yesterday. Today My lower back will hardly move. Staying on a heatpad and a muscle relaxer all morning.
But the corn will be worth it. We froze 32 bags.
Will be back tomorrow....

One of those weeks?
Ever have one of those weeks when you are very busy and just don't know what to say to the blogging world? Well, that was my week.
Monday was bill paying and errand day. Hubby was off and I don't do much computering on his off days.
Tuesday we went on a picnic before he had to go to work that afternoon. It was fun and Dexter got to run around and do sniffing as dogs do.
Wednesday, I started packing boxes. Our complex announced to us "3" years ago that they would be remodeling the apartments inside and out soon. Well, 3 yrs later, they have started. There are 4 apts in each building so they are on the 1st four now. We will be moving end of August or so into our new one. And, Oh Glory, we will have our own washer and dryers. Will let you know my new apt number when I move. I am trying to do a box or two a day.I don't want to wait til last minute.
Thursday, I slept, and slept and slept...well you get the picture.
Yesterday I did a lot of sweepstaking and then went to town with hubby when he got home from work. We went out to eat the buffet and I had a huge salad and then fruit plate for dessert.
Today, I am blogging, and am starting a new book. It is Mistress of My Fate by Hallie Rubenhold. It is a thick one. I don't usually like historical fiction, but a good friend sent it to me and she says I won't be sorry I read it. What kind of books do like to read?

Do you belive?
Today is National UFO Day. Do you believe in UFO's ?
I really doubt it, but as the Bible tells us- "With God, ALL things are possible".
Just my own opinion!
**********
Today is Lindsey Lohan's 27th birthday.
Wonder how she is celebrating?
Is she out drinking, or is she in rehab again?
Is she in or out of jail?
Which family member is speaking to her today?
Is she actually broke or has lots of money?
Is she with a man or a woman?
This poor girl is so messed up, and nobody can seem to help her fix her problems. I guess you have to want help first.
**********
Hubby is off today, so we are off to pay bills, eat lunch, and take some photos.
Have an amazing day!

Happy July
Today is National Scarecrow Day! Do you put a scarecrow in your garden? My granddaddy always did, but it never looked pretty like these. His would be like an old mop with clothes on. lol
**********
Each apt in our complex has been asked to plant flowers around the complex. I have huge cannas that have grown from one root bulb to this-
But I have decided I will throw lots of wildflower seeds in the ditch behind our our apt. It's just an ugly ditch, and a little color will add to this place a lot.
**********
QUESTION of the Day?
What is your favorite ice cream?
Mine is nutty coconut from Baskin Robbins, but no more of that for a long time til the weight is gone.
**********
You know you are old when you see that Blondie (Debra Harry) is 68 today! Geez
**********
Let's plan on having an amazing July!

I luv Posicles
These easy peasy popsicles are bursting with fruity yumminess - All you have to do is pour some Capri Sun (whatever flavor you like best) into a popsicle mold, then add your favorite cut up fresh fruit then freeze!
I saw this on Pinterest and they are now in my freezer. I used Strawberry Kiwi flavored Caprison (the WalMart brand.

Just another day in the neighborhood
Neighbors - When you live in a tiny town with nowhere to go, this is what you do. Sit around and chat. I honestly don't know the new neighbor's name on the left. Then we have Barb, Ms Sis and Pam who is not only my friend but also my landlord.
This is Pam and her daughter Heaven.

Did you get to see the Super moon? Here is the best out of the pictures I took of it.
Meet Rocksy. Excuse her dirty headband, but we had been walking and she gets really sweaty, being a rock and all.

How was your weekend?
This past week has been all of my emotions tied up in one- from super depressed to happy to sad to just feeling like crap about myself. Doctor changed my anti depression meds, and it made me CRAZY!!! One of those crazy weeks!
1. Started with Father's Day- got to really missing my granddad who raised me, and that led to missing my mom, which led to tears.
2. My neighbor's little girl Heaven turned 3 and I completely forgot it. Not good, because she even calls me Aunt Sandy.
3. Got our new fishing license for AR. Good thing! We love to fish.
4. My sister is coming to visit in August for 4 days. Good thing. She lives in CA.
5. Hubby made me very angry, which seldom ever happens. Ugh, MEN, sometimes I swear.... Not good! (all better now of course)
6. My other neighbor Ms Bea turned 72, I forgot. Not Good!
7. I cancelled my caretaker for the whole week. (Shouldn't have)
8. Stuck to my diet, GOOD!
9. Gave myself a "pamper me" day on Saturday. It was much needed and I feel so much better now.
10. Starting all over again tomorrow with a better week and a better me.
Back on my regular meds again. All is right with the world. And the things that are not, well, I can't fix everything, though I wish I could. Too old to be super woman anymore.

Thursday Tips
If you wrap your celery in tin foil before placing it in the fridge it will last for weeks, and it will still be fresh and crisp when you pull it out! This also works for stored broccoli for 7 weeks wrapped in tin foil.
************************
For clearer skin: take a half lemon from the fridge (doesn’t matter if some juice is already squeezed from it) and put 3-4 drops of honey on it. Rub the lemon on your face, emphasizing trouble areas. Leave the lemon and honey mixture on your face for 5 minutes and then wash it with cold water. You will be able to see the results immediately. Additionally, lemon juice will also fade other marks/spots on the face and honey will moisturize.
********************
This trick of putting a paper towel in with your salad lettuce will keep it fresh all week long. The paper towel will absorb the moisture, which is the culprit for wilting lettuce. THIS WORKS!
*********************
I have tried each one of these and they DO work. But with my salad mixes and lettuce, I transfer them to a large Ziploc bag and add a folded paper towel in with it. Been doing that for years and it makes it last so much longer.
Got any tips to share?
Have a great Thursday!!!!
