Monday Morning Photo Prompt: 5/6/13
Like this car, I have a gate (or wall) up,
it's like wearing blinders.
It covers up the things I don't want people to see,
and only comes down when I want it to.
I don't like the gate.
The gate is controlling my world.
The gate must come down,
even if it hurts the car.
Cousins
Kaysen spent the day with Maddie and Lily on Saturday.
I love seeing my grandbabies all playing together. So sweet. Tomorrow, May 8, is a SPECIAL day.
Connor will be arriving some time tomorrow. His Mommy is being induced at 5 am. Can't wait to meet him this weekend. He is our first grandson and last grandchild. Very exciting!

Meet Rocksy
Rocky's story=
My very first blogging buddy and good friend Sandee over at Comedy Plus had a pet rock named Seymour. Well Seymour snuck out and spent too much time with Ms Sandstone ( the seductive rock across the street) and she became pregnant with Seymour's babies. She gave birth to 5 baby rocks. Sandee was kind enough to let me adopt one.
This is how she came to me- as naked as the day she was born. You will be seeing many changes in Rocksy on our journeys together. Just wanted you to know her story and how she came to be in my life. Maybe one day she even meet her brother Roche', who now belongs to the Empress Bee over at Muffin 53 part deux.
Today Rocksy will be out paying bills and getting her a little more covered. We don't want her to like her slutty mom after all, lol.

Surprise
I really have no excuse for not posting for 2 months. I have kept up with a few of you on FB, and through email. I have every one of you and even though I think of blogging every single day, I just have not done it. Don't know why, but I', back and ready to start again. Starting everything again....
I gained what weight I had lost back and this morning started to eat right again, and even took a walk.
The best thing is- a new baby (so to speak) came to me through UPS this afternoon. Her name is Rocksy. She is the daughter of Seymour who belongs to Sandee at Comedy Plus. Seymour had an affair with the evil but sexy Ms Sandstone across the street, and of course a few months later, baby rocks arrived. I am so pleased to be the proud owner of Rocksy. She will be a big part of our lives for a while. She is big for her age, and I just love her already.
Photos of Rocksy will be coming shortly.
Spring has finally sprung here in AR. Can't wait to put some flowers in the ground. Do you have a garden this year, flower or vegetable?

Curious Bird-
I've always been a very curious bird myself,
always wanting to how things work,
how relationships stay strong,
why I am the way I am.
Just happy I'm an old birdie,
because curiosity killed the cat!

The journey
Just found a great new meme. It is from Bifocal Univision (Eric Alder's blog). He posts a new photo each week and you write something about it on your own blog. Anyway, here is my first one.

The Beginning of the Journey
I'm starting this journey of mine, I can see far ahead, to a better dream and a better land.
The tracks will be bumpy, and I see stops and hurdles along the way,
But that's alright, because at the end of the tracks, I see for me a new day.

"Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head"
Yesterday my oldest granddaughter Kelsi turned 17. Wow, it's hard to believe. She is such a smart and pretty young woman.
It has been so gloomy here for days. Raining again today with at least 2 more days of clouds, then more rain. I cannot wait for Spring!!! and flip flops, and shorts, and being outside more.
Nothing new going on around here. I've been journaling lots more. Memories are wonderful things to share. I try to write in each of the grandkids journals every day, but that doesn't happen often, lol. As you already know, I am a procrastinator. But I have one for each girl. I need to get a pretty blue one for when Conner gets here in May. Going tomorrow to get yarn to start his blanket.
Everyone have an amazing day. Hope the sun is shining in your world.
