I hate Doctor's visits

I am totally freaked out about my visit today. I have to see the Doctor at 11 and then have to have an xray, a CT scan with contrast, a bone density test, and a biopsy. YUK!
But I anot doing well, so it must be done. Thing is, I cannot sleep anymore. I average 4 to 5 hours a day sleeping, and that is sporadic.

November Goals

I do not have many goals this month. I have an all day liver check up with four tests and a Doctor's visit on the 3rd (Tuesday). Praying it turns out okay.

I really want to lose 8 pounds this month. I should be able to do it. That is only two pounds a week.

My main goal is to de-clutter my guest room/computer room. I can't believe what a mess it has become. I can't even get to my sewing table.

I of course want to finish Christmas shopping. Almost done, just a few more things for the granddaughters.

Read a book.

Blog once a day, at least.

Have a nice date on our anniversary- Nov 22.

Do my photo wall in the living room.

Save $100 for our trip to see the kids.

Make a new recipe.

I tried to make attainable goals this month. I think I can accomplish these. We'll see.

My new Favorite bag

WOW! I so love this purse. I am a purse addict and this is my new fave. I believe you don't have to go to a fancy event to carry an evening bag. They are all the rage right now. Revlon 1875 Watt Style and Go Compact Dryer

My favorite part of this Revlon hair dryer is the retractable cord. The handle also folds up making it very easy to pack and carry with me on trips. The cord measures 53 inches. One of the The first things I noticed is that it feels very solid and well built. It is comfortable in my hand and makes it easy to blow my hair out. I also like that it is quiet, even at high speed. It has two speeds, high and low.
It dries my hair pretty quickly with good results. The dryer itself is very pretty, kind of a dark turquoise color. I really like it.

The WonderVeg Slicer is the best gadget in my kitchen right now. I am loving playing with it. You get three blades- a shredder that makes long spaghetti like noodles, a chipper which makes thick spirals, and a straight for making like potato chips snacks. It is so easy to use and works fast. It comes with a cleaning brush and is super easy to clean. I love the storage slots underneath to store the extra blades in.

Aduro Sport Waterproof Case/Bag for Smartphones with Audio Out

I have only used my Aduro Sport waterproof case twice, but I really like it so far. It has a place for your headphone jack so you can listen to music while in the water. It clearly stated use to one foot of water. I would not go much deeper than that. The bag itself holds a device up to 5.5 inches. The thing I do not like is I had to continually check the closure and reassemble it. This is why I gave it four stars instead of five. That was a hassle.
Before using this bag with my phone, I tested it in my sink under water with paper inside. No moisture or leakage at all. It will also be great for keeping your licsense, credit card, hotel key, keys, or anything you want to keep dry. I ordered the pink, because I Love pink and it is a bright beautiful shade of hot pink. This case has two locks which are very easy to use. Highly recommend!

These Popsicle Ice Pop Molds by Poplicious are quality made and I use them a few times a week. I am diabetic and am able to make my own sugar free ice pops to enjoy as a snack all summer. I like adding fresh fruit to mine. Delicious! You get six molds in a tray that snap together. No leaking with these! The plastic mold is very sturdy and will last many summers. If you wiggle the frozen mold around a little, the ice pop will slide right out. You do not have to run them under water like the old pops I had. The plastic is BPA free. They are easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

It's going to be a fun summer with amazing Ice treats. Plus it saves lots of money I would spend on sugar free popcicles.

2-ingredient Pineapple Cream Popsicles

Makes 12 popsicles

5 cups pineapple chunks (I used partially thawed frozen; either fresh or frozen is fine)

1 (15 ounce) can coconut milk (I used full fat version, lite will probably work fine)

Blend together the pineapple chunks and coconut milk.  Pour liquid into your popsicles molds and freeze.  Enjoy!

Homemade Rocky Road Ice Cream

Ingredients

• 3 cups whole milk
• 3 cups half-and-half cream
• 9 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
• 2-3/4 cups sugar
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 6 cups heavy whipping cream
• 3 cups miniature marshmallows
• 2-1/4 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips
• 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans
• 6 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

1. In a large saucepan, combine milk and half-and-half; heat to 175°. Add chocolate, sugar and salt; stir until chocolate is melted and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
2. Quickly transfer to a large bowl; place bowl in a pan of ice water. Stir gently and occasionally for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press plastic wrap onto surface of custard. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3. Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to the manufacturer’s directions. (Refrigerate remaining mixture until ready to freeze.) Transfer ice cream to freezer containers, allowing headspace for expansion. Freeze 2-4 hours or until firm. Repeat with remaining ice cream mixture. Yield: about 4-1/2 quarts.

Long Lasting Durable Straws

We use a lot of plastic straws at our house and when on the road, so when I found the steel straws, I was excited to try them. They are of course made of stainless steel for long term use. I am super surprised at how much I like them. They have a bent look but they do not bend. It comes with its own cleaning brush to clean the straw inside. Very easy to clean. They are just a tad bit larger than a regular straw. They are lightweight and extremely durable, which will save money in the long run. They are great for smoothies! They may seem a little expensive but when you think of how long they will last and how many plastic straws we use and buy, this is a great deal!

'Face lift in a bottle' is the right name for this

I first saw this on the Dr. Oz show and wanted to try it. I am so glad now that I did. My face glows and my thin lines around my eyes and on my forehead are slowly fading. My skin feels like I've had a face lift. They are easy to swallow with no aftertaste or stomach problems. The Phytoceramides 350 mg actually works. I don't yet know the long term affects but for now, it is simply superb. I have used so many serums and creams that were all good, but none have made my skin feel like this within a few short weeks. Thirsty Thursday

put in-

• 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
• ½ cup frozen mango chunks
• ¾ cup orange juice or pineapple juice (or water in a pinch!)
• 1 Tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes

1. If you don't have a super strong blender, you might want to put the frozen fruits in your blender and let them sit for about ten minutes so they thaw a little bit.
2. Add the liquid and the coconut and blend on high until smooth. Add more liquid if necessary.
3. Enjoy immediately.

This is one of the best eye creams I have tried. Having used the Best Eye Cream for a few weeks now, I am starting to notice that some of my fine lines around my eyes are less noticeable. Hubby noticed it also, so it must be working! After washing your face, simply put a small amount around the eye area making sure not to get it in your eyes of course. My skin felt so smooth after applying the stem cell rich cream. I don't sleep much and always have puffy eyes, and this has really helpe with that also. Having never read any of the Ada's House books, this trilogy was a complete joy to read. Each story centers around the Old Order Amish community of Hope Crossing. The center of this community is Ada's House and it plays a pivotal point in each of the stories. While each story stands alone there is a thread of continuity that weaves the three novels together. Each book has different main characters but in the subsequent stories the main characters become background figures so you get a glimpse at what has been going on with them since you left them.  I got this book and read it quickly though it is quite large,1026 pages large. Ms Woodsmall as always though tells a story as no one else can and easily holds the reader's interest. I would recommend this book for reading for anyone who loves Amish love stories.
