I love 'takin pitures'

I LOVE photography and never leave home without my camera. Now the battery may be dead sometimes, lol, but I try to always have it with me. My granddaughter tells her friends that her grandma likes 'takin pitures', (note the southern accent) which is absolutely true. I took this picture of weeds at the corner of an empty dilapidated house in Clarendon, AR. It reminds me how much beauty can be found in almost everything if you just look hard enough.
My name is Sandy and I live in eastern AR in a VERY small town. We have a store, yes just one, a bank, and a post office. That's it! (population 722)
I had a blog a few years ago that I updated daily, and then I got ill. I was diagnosed with NASH disease which is non alcoholic cirrhosis and underwent a liver transplant in November of 2008. I thank God every day that I am alive and try to enjoy each day to the fullest.
I am married to my best friend Robert and we have two boys, two awesome daughter-in-laws, and four granddaughters (Maddie is 1, Lily is 3, Kenzie is 9, and Kelsi is 13. We also have a new grand baby coming in February 2010. All our kids are in Alabama.
Leave a note, sit and chat, but please come back, I'm just greeting started! Soon, Sandy

  1. Glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery! Praise God for your successful surgery (and those cute grand-babies!)

I'm learning about photography, but I'm not very good yet. I'm learning though!

  2. Welcome back!

I love taking pictures, too. My husband makes fun of me for it. I get the last laugh when he pulls up my blog and shows everyone my photos.
